Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA) have led the way in advocacy, research and support for patients and their families for over 22 years. As of January 2016, we are pleased to announce we are joining together to form Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA), the largest global organization dedicated to advancing ovarian cancer research while supporting women and their families. Melissa Chemick, Director, Data Management and Donor Relations

Melissa Chemick joined the OCRF team in July 2010. She is responsible for managing the overall integrity and accuracy of OCRF’s donor database. As part of the development team, Melissa oversees OCRF’s national 3rd party event program, Team Hope, which is responsible for generating over a half a million dollars annually. She also acts as the liaison to OCRF’s Junior Board, a group of young individuals passionate about the cause helping to raise funds and develop relationships for the present and future success of the organization.

Prior to joining OCRF, Melissa worked as a Development Manager at the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, (formerly NARSAD), the world’s leading charity dedicated to mental health research. At BBRF, she successfully transformed and managed the organization’s donor database and assisted in the planning and execution of fundraising events and awareness activities.

Melissa earned a B.A. in Public Relations and Speech Communication from Hofstra University and multiple Raiser’s Edge certifications from Blackbaud University.
