Sabrina Valvo, Director of Communications

Sabrina Valvo oversees OCRF’s overall communications strategy, including the branding, website, social media, print and electronic materials, and public relations. Working closely with the CEO and Development staff, she develops outreach and educational campaigns, supports corporate partnerships and promotes organizational events.

Sabrina brings over 10 years of nonprofit experience to OCRF, working first at The Skin Cancer Foundation and more recently at Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. Prior to that, she worked in the forprofit sector as a pharmaceutical advertising executive. Among her clients was Pfizer for whom she executed the global launch of Viagra.

Sabrina graduated with honors from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and English. Over the years, she has won several awards for her work including One Show Public Service Merit Award, League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Annual Report Vision Award, and APEX Award for Publication Excellence, Health and Medical Campaigns, Programs & Plans. She is also a published author and member of several professional organizations, such as Women in Communications.
