IT’S BEEN 25 YEARS SINCE WE LOST MY MOTHER. SHE FOUGHT THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE WITH ALL SHE HAD BUT DIED 2 YEARS AFTER HER DIAGNOSIS. IT WAS ONE MONTH BEFORE HER 51ST BIRTHDAY.

I HAVE MANY PEOPLE AROUND ME WHO ARE OR HAVE DREADED TURNING 50. MY BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT WILL BE TO TURN 51. IT SEEMS SO SIMPLE BUT IT ISN’T ALWAYS…

Thanks ladies.
I turn fifty on Sunday, I can’t wait but I cannot stop thinking that this was my mom’s last. I still can’t believe how she struggled all by herself although we were all around her. We were just young enough to believe what she told us without questions. I don’t have half of her courage and strength.
