Survivor Stories / Tributes

Elizabeth Flannigan Boyle

Personal Description:

Dedication:

To our wonderful mother, who taught us how to be loving, gracious, drive a stick-shift Beetle, smoke like a lady and care for our mother earth. We miss you ever day since 1988, and we know you and Pat will take care of us.

Yes, Jeff why be surprised? Collegiate sprtos are merely a reflection of society in general. What we toletate in general society usually crops up in all other aspects of our lives. It is only natural. As I wrote in my other response, we reap what we sow. We have sowed a crop of weeds and we are reaping weeds. As usual we (that is everyone) tries to put a shiny coat of shinola on it and make it look pretty and pretend it doesn’t exist but it is what it is and it is not pretty at all. Until all of us take a long look in the mirror, we can’t really expect it to change; now can we?
