Personal Description:

To my mom who sat by my side and dealt with my mood swings and was my support during my treatment.

Personal Description:

I am an ovarian cancer survivor. In 2009 at the age of 17 I had a tumor that grew in my right ovary. It was removed in surgery along with my ovary and fallopian tube. Three weeks later on March 5, 2009 I was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer and began aggressive chemo on the 7th. I under went treatment for three months and each month I would be in the hospital for 5 to 7 days doing my chemo sessions. Friends and family would come to visit me but only my mom would stay the night at the hospital, eat, shower and sleep at the hospital. I am now 18 and still have not relapsed. If it wasnt for my mom I would have simply stopped fighting but trough her love and support I made it through.

This sounds exactly like my experience with my daughter. She was diagnosed when she was 20. Went through all the chemo and is now 35 and NO CANCER. We thank God everyday that she is cancer free. We were very lucky the cancer was found in its earliest stages and the doctors knew the protocal to follow.

My doctors didn’t know what was wong with me and almost cost me my life. Once they discovered my tumor I was transfered to Kaiser north in sacramento for surgery and it was them who told me I had cancer. I then went to Kaiser Roseville for treatment and had 4 wonderful oncologists who took very good care of me and the nurses as well took good care of me and my famliy.
