Julia Callahan

Personal Description:

Dedication:

In dedication to my wonderful twin sister who lost her tenacious battle with ovarian cancer on February 25, 2010 after four graceful years.

Julia loved and respected Kelly Ripa’s commmitment to this site and it’s critical goals and objectives.

Personal Description:

Julia was among God’s most graceful creations. She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, cousin, wife and, most importantly, a loyal and dedicated friend.

She shared her positive attitude with all she encountered. Never judgemental….always a smiling, enthusiastic, supporter of goodness, warmth and compassion, Julia will be missed by all who new her and especially those who witnessed her grace and dignity through the last four years of her life.

I love you and will miss you forever.

Love Joyce

Comments:

Julia was is my niece and I loved her very much as I do her twin sister, Joyce. As long as Joyce lives so will Julia.
Julia was a very beautiful person, inside and out. Full of mischief, fun to be with and a very loving and caring person to family and friends. I was amazed how many hearts she touched.
She will be missed by all but each of us have fond memories of her! Rest in piece Julia.

This morning in church we sang “Precious Lord, Take my Hand”. I invite all who love Julia to take a minute and read the words of this beautiful hymn. I don’t know how she orchestrated it, but I took it as a message from my sister that she is A okay today.

I haven’t known Julia since everyone went their separate ways after high school….but I’ll always have great memories of her…riding the school bus together, watching her cheer, and just being so thankful that we knew each other back then. Both she and Joyce were the sweetest! Bless her heart. You’re whole and at peace now.

I didn’t know Julia personally but I know her daughter Jennifer. From what Jennifer has shared her mother Julia was an amazingly strong woman and is someone who will be missed dearly.

I’m lucky I was a friend of Julia’s! Along with being so much FUN to be around, she taught me how to be a good friend, how to live, and now – how to live your last days gracefully. In the words of the song: “I’m gonna miss that smile. I’m gonna miss you my friend . . . ”

Debbie (Hileman) Long – 03/01/2010

Joyce, it was hard to watch you suffer so when the end came for Julia. Your closeness to Julia is a testament to the love and strength you both shared. Please know that all of us at Indy are here for you.

I never saw Julia without a smile on that face! She loved life and her family. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on. Prayers and love for her family!

Lindsay Smith – 03/02/2010

As Julia’s son shared during her service, she was THE true miracle in our lives as we were all praying for a miracle cure. As a sister, I have been blessed by her sweet spirit during her life and empowered by her valiant courage during her journey with ovarian cancer.

Julia, I see you, on the other side, at peace and radiantly healthy. I know you are very pleased with the memorial for the much needed continued research for early detection. You will always be readily available in our hearts. Thank you for your many gifts.
