Mary Millrany

Personal Description:

Dedication:

To an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. You were always devoted to those around you and taught us all so much in your lifetime. We will cherish all those special memories you have given us and will forever remain in our hearts.

Personal Description:

Mary had an army of people that loved and cared for her dearly and we always will. She had an abundance of love to give back to all of us. Mary was such an extraordinary person and gave her all in every aspect of life. Her willingness to help others was a part of her sweet nature.

She had a natural talent for the aesthetics of life and always willing to share her wealth of knowledge with others. Mary appreciated the simple things in life and her outlook… “don’t sweat the small stuff”.

While it seems little solace to those of us who will miss her, the manner in which Mary lived her life far exceeded the distance it traveled.

Mary often embraced herself in projects one could only construe as art. She likely never knew this of herself, but the results were often a simple reflection of her inner nature – a creative collage of beauty and feeling quietly wrapped in an eloquent grace. Whether it was decorating a room or the simple pruning of a garden, her passion was always the same…everything she had until it was done.

If you knew Mary, you knew she loved to travel. Partly because she was adventurous, but more importantly, she loved to explore. Most would render this to the visible spectrum but for Mary it was a spellbound journey to the spiritual conscience.

Animate or not, everything she observed carried its own spiritual character. Accepting new and different ideas was a regard she held in reverence…and something she practiced with every opportunity. I suspect that gift will subsist through those of us who were lucky enough to experience it.

I thought I saw her face today
In the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say
“Her work on earth is done.”

I thought I heard her voice today
Then laugh her hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say
“There’s peace little one at last.”

I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say
“The spirit never dies.”

I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say
“She left you with her love.”

I thought that I would miss her
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say
“She’s with you every day.”

For Sister Maria’s family…
It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.

There is another sky,
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness there;
Never mind faded forests,
Never mind silent fields -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee,
Into my garden come!

Julie Tatham – 11/09/2009

Julie, what a wonderful tribute to your mother! She clearly touched so many people in her life, as you deeply touched us with the warmth and kindness you have shown to our family, in the memory of our mother, Jean Thorbrogger. Our moms were so much alike in spirit! It is obvious that your mom’s special beauty lives inside you and thank you for sharing it with us!

A Mother’s love is binding
Unrelenting in its power
The glow from it so blinding
Beyond her final hour

Even after a Mother’s gone
Her love will see you through
A love to help you carry on
Because that’s what Mother’s do

Missing you every day and Mother’s Day!
