Survivor Stories / Tributes

Peggie Ertle

Personal Description:

This is in tribute to my mother, Peggie Ertle. She was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, had surgery, was declared cancer free and then passed away 6 months later on March 23, 2006.On her 43rd wedding anniversary. She suffered so much, but remained brave and strong in her faith. My father tried to go on, but on June 11, 2007, he took his life. I think it was from a broken heart. Hopefully a cure will be found soon so no other women will have to go through what my mother and family went through. Thank God for Hospice. They are truly angels on earth.
