Survivor Stories / Tributes

Roberta (Birdie) Musicus

Personal Description:

My sister passed away yesterday morning, March 15, 2010, at 10 AM, after a 5 year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was surrounded by her mother and father and long time boyfriend in Boca Raton.

Personal Description:

Birdie was a talented jazz singer. She had a way with people and they took to her immediately. She always was the first to offer her help. She would give you the shirt off her back.
This disease is horrible. We must find a way to attack it at multiple levels. My sister didn’t have insurance, so she went on Medicaid and Medicare. She felt treated like a second-class citizen. There was no reason she had to die this way. Pray and donate now!

On behalf of our family I want to tell you how very sorry we are for your loss. We loss our Nancy also after a five year battle. She passed away a few days after Roberta and will be laid to rest March 29th. We share in your sorry and understand oh so clearly what a blessing it is to know that their pain has ended and that they are singing and shopping happily on the other side. God bless you and yours.
