Personal Description:

My mom lost her battle with ovarian cancer on February 8, 2009. She was the best mother and grandmother, and she fought so hard for a very long time. She is missed every day by my children and me (and many others who loved her as well).

Personal Description:

Born June 14, 1940
Passed February 8, 2009

She was the most selfless person I have ever known. She always put others ahead of herself. She was the epitome of a Christian woman. She lived her life for Christ in all that she did and said. She taught me so much and she wanted to teach me so much more, but I wasn’t receptive to learn at the time. I have since realized so much that she wanted me to know, and I am so grateful to her for all that she was. She didn’t leave a monetary legacy as she had very little by society’s standards of what was important, but she left a legacy that means so much more. Thank you mama for all you did and all you were.

I have never been called Superwoman .I have cetanirly been called another kind of woman before!Thank you so much for talking about Ovarian Cancer. It is the silent cancer in women and the money we raise will help not only raise awareness but hopefully will begin to find a cure. We have raised over half a million dollars to fund ovarian cancer research. We are making a difference for our mothers, daughters, sisters, friends and ourselves.
