Individual Investigators

Individual Investigator Awards

Future advances in ovarian cancer research lie in the hands of today’s researchers. The Individual Investigator Awards Program was developed in 1998 to advance outstanding researchers early in their careers whose projects focus on early detection, screening, and basic translational research. These innovative projects, funded at $100,000 per annum for two years, are intended to yield results within two years or less. The ultimate aim of the program is that these investigators, with promising results in hand, will then obtain grants or contracts from the National Cancer Institute or other large funding agencies, whose financial support is necessary to bring their critical research to fruition.
